We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Helen Turner, the Associate Head of Art at York St John University, will be joining us to give the official closing speech at our Exhibition Finale!

The event will take place on Saturday, 21st February at 10:00 AM at SPARK:York.

For our founder, Ada, this is a real “full-circle” moment. Back in 2024, Ada spent hours exploring the York St John University entries during York Open Studios. That visit to campus was part of what sparked the question: “Why isn’t there an art exhibition for kids my age?”

What to expect at the Finale

The Saturday finale isn’t just a closing ceremony; it’s a celebration of everything the children of York have achieved. Helen Turner will be sharing her thoughts on:

The Power of Nurturing Creativity: Why starting your artistic journey at primary school age is so important.

Young Leadership: A look at how Ada, Seth, Ellie, and Olive have managed a professional-scale social enterprise.

The Future of York’s Art Scene: Bridging the gap between our 5–11-year-old “chaos makers” the student art world and beyond.
